Russell Hall Seafood first opened its door in 1939 on Hoopers Island located on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This island location in the Chesapeake Bay afforded the perfect setting for the buying, processing, and shipping of the freshest Maryland seafood known the world over. A reputation of quality products and competitive prices grew throughout the years. When Mr. Hall passed, his wife, daughter, and son-in-law continued his legacy. At their retirement the business closed for a short time.

 

In 1992 a local waterman with 30 years experience in seafood harvesting, sales, and shipping reopened the business. He kept the company name and vowed to continue the reputation of fresh quality seafood at competitive prices. His son is one of the watermen who sails their fresh catch of crabs, oysters, and fish to the company dock each day. His daughter works on-site supervising the picking of fresh crabmeat daily from crabs steamed caught just hours before. She is also in charge of business operations for TarBaySeafood.com, processing orders, customer support, and shipping premium seafood to customers all across the country.

 

Our small family run business takes a hands on approach. We take pride in what we produce, buy fresh seafood at our dock, process, and ship swiftly to our customers.
